(Am curious what price would have made me seek out a torrent instead…$10? $15?)
I didn’t enjoy it as much as his previous specials which I watched on Youtube but there was some strong material on it and was worth the money.
The experiment itself seemed to go well. $500k revenue in 4 days, happy customers and a happy artist. I’m not sure the future is direct to consumer because without the exposure Louis got from the networks over the past few years he would never have amassed such a fan base. Whilst direct to consumer works for a known brand like him, Joe Average still doesn’t stand a chance even with new tools like KickStarter. There is still a lot to do.
Most surprising of all was that his simple website cost $32,000 to develop!
